Improve your Radiology Workflow with Nova RIS

Nova RIS allows you to track patient information, procedures, exam status, revenue, and insurance payouts. It also allows you to generate reports based on CPT or revenue codes. With seamless integration, Nova RIS and NovaPACS improve overall efficiency throughout the enterprise.

Manage more efficiently

Nova RIS revolutionizes the way radiology departments are managed by quickly and easily delivering the crucial information that is necessary to monitor department quality, efficiency, and profitability. Nova RIS allows radiology departments to track patient information, procedures, exam status, revenues and insurance payouts. It also allows users to generate reports based on CPT or revenue codes. On top of that, the Admin Reports function of Nova RIS alerts users to potential problems such as incomplete exams and missing insurance codes. And like all NovaPACS products, Nova RIS seamlessly integrates with HIS or PACS systems.

Improving your workflow

Radiology Information Systems are the central hub for the management of electronic images, but they should be able to perform far more than just that. Image interpretation and procedure billing also needs to be considered. Some of the other functions that should be included in a radiology information system (RIS) might also be patient scheduling, resource management, examination performance and results distribution. The RIS also needs to integrate with a PACS system, which requires additional practice management workflow coordination.

The value of electronic imaging, picture archiving, and communication has always hinged on workflow efficiency. Because total, cross-platform workflow efficiency is the primary objective, PACS and RIS are interdependent systems. Optimal efficiency for radiology departments occurs when PACS and RIS are configured to seamlessly share information with one another. That’s why Novarad developed the Novarad radiology information system (NovaRIS). NovaRIS performs just the way radiology departments need a RIS to perform. The smokestack effect went out with the Industrial Revolution. In the Information Age, there is no reason why radiology department workflow should be modeled after that type of a closed system.
